Oftentimes the software that is supposed to make our lives and our businesses easier tends to give us an error or two from time to time. This is not the end of the world! Let me show you some simple fixes to common errors...
The biggest error I hear all the time is "the report came out wrong" or "my report looks different". The first thing you should do in a case like this is check your form code:
Let's use printing a sales order as an example.
Open up your Sage 100 or MAS 90 / MAS 200 program. Pull up a Sales Order and choose the one you want printed. Upon finding the order, you can choose "Print Order..." Once you've clicked that, you will see a box outlining all the details of your printed order.
Once you click the magnifying glass, this form code selection screen will pop-up. Once a form code is selected, the printing screen will defaul to the last form code chosen. This is why things can sometimes get mixed up. In our case, the printing has defaulted to STANDARD. We want to change the form code to our Black & White version or form code 1.
If you would like to check and see which form code you are on, you can click PREVIEW and view what the form will print like. Here you can see our form code is now in Black & White like we wanted.
By closing this window and choosing the CORRECT form code each time, you can ensure you're printing the right report every time.
